Nordic (Scandinavian) Stamp Exhibition
Stavanger, Norway 23 to 26 October 2008
Customs - information for commissioners and exhibitors
To commissioners and exhibitors who bring philatelic exhibits to Nordia
2008.
Please find below some information regarding the customs treatment of
exhibits to Nordia 2008.
-
There are no duties, fees or taxes payable for stamps for collectors when
importing to or exporting from Norway. It is sufficient to register or
declare the exhibits for customs when entering Norway. There is no
particular form or procedure for this, we recommend that you present a list
of the exhibits which specifies title of the exhibits, number of sheets and
estimated value.
This has to be done at first entry point (i.e. if you travel to Stavanger
via Oslo, then customs declaration takes place in Oslo).
An "ATA Carnet" is not required in Norway (but may be
advantageous in your own country or in transit).
-
We understand that the commissioners and exhibits will enter Norway at
various locations. Please inform us in advance (at least two weeks before
arrival) of your travel details. This will enable us to inform the customs office about the
arrival of the exhibits and agree the procedures with the customs office at
the relevant locations.
-
We are unable to assist in customs treatment in your own country, or in
transit.
-
The literature exhibits need to be at our disposal earlier, and we expect
that you send these by mail or similar. These shipments should be customs
declared (green "CN 22" label on the parcel) as "books" and a nominal value.
- Do not hesitate to contact us if there are questions or uncertainties.
